DYNAMIC CHEST STRETCH
Dynamic stretching is an ideal way to warm-up that involves active movement of your joints and muscles passing through a full range of motion. The Dynamic Chest Stretch focuses on your pectoral muscles and is therefore ideal for warming-up for upper-body training.

SET-UP
- Stand tall (neutral spine, chest up, chin up) with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Keeping your arms straight, hold them out in front of you with your hands held just below shoulder height.
EXECUTION
- Keeping your arms straight, quickly move them back as far as comfortably possible before returning them back to your front.
- Repeat for the prescribed number of reps, increasing speed between each.
- The motion of this exercise should resemble an exaggerated clapping motion.
- As your flexibility improves in your chest you should be able to pull your arms further back. As this happens, ensure that you pull your arms back enough for a stretch to still be felt in your chest.
