DYNAMIC BACK STRETCH

This mobilization exercise is an ideal dynamic stretch to warm-up your back muscles, particularly your Lats, before your workout. Additionally, as with most mobility drills, which can be fine-tuned to meet individual needs, it can also be used as part of a therapeutic program to provide an appropriate amount of activity to facilitate recovery.

1° Muscles: Latissimus Dorsi

SET-UP
  1. Stand tall (neutral spine, chest up, chin up) with your feet shoulder-width apart.
EXECUTION
  1. Keeping both arms straight, swing them forward and up in front of you for the prescribed number of reps. 
  2. With each swing, increase the range of motion until by the latter swings your arms reach vertical.
  1. Whilst swinging your arms, ensure that your body remains stationary.
  1. Toe Touch Overhead Reach
  2. Standing Bicycle
  3. Active Hang
