INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams (2 ½ cup) tomatoes
- 1 small red onion
- 20 grams (1 cup) fresh basil
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt to season as desired
- Ground black pepper to season as desired
PREPARATION
- Roughly chop the tomatoes into eighths, and place into a large bowl.
- Thinly slice the red onion and add to the bowl.
- Add the olive oil and vinegar to the tomatoes and onion.
- Toss gently to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and let stand in a refrigerator for 1-2 hours to develop flavor.
- Roughly chop the basil and combine with tomatoes before serving.
